Hey everyone, I was wondering about people’s thoughts on Solana ecosystem after all FUD and what’s happening lately to their ecosystem… If someone didn’t know, DeGods & y00ts will be leaving Solana and will be joining Ethereum & Polygon accordingly. Also, I am sure you all saw $BONK airdrop happening and all web3 Twitter literally talking about that. But today my home page on Twitter is not just about $BONK spam but also different projects, some of them were created actually today, they all “making airdrops”, using different forms and other types of activities, simply trying to catch “hype wave” and get people in.
So I was thinking about all that, and wondering what do you guys think, is it “last breath” for Solana ecosystem or it actually has a chance to survive?

NFA in any way. $SOL price looks to have recovered since the craziness earlier in Jan. I think the Solana ecosystem can continue to survive but it’s difficult to convince projects to stay / attract larger projects with their current reputation. My standpoint would be as follows:
Pros:
- VC money has probably sold / remaining VCs in it for the long haul (example: Multicoin being down 70%+)
- New client technology (firedancer) coming out to diversify existing client.
- Ecosystem can generally be fun to play with.
Cons:
- As said above, the eco can be fun to play with although the tech behind Solana is too volatile (outages / centralized) to put a serious % of a portfolio in
- The consistent PR blows of outages, total supply questions, FTX ties, etc. all make a long list of reasons to stay away from Solana IMO.
