I understand that Quai Network is EVM compatible which suggests that it supports Solidity smart contracts. Are there any plans to support other smart contract programming languages like Vyper or Rust?

I believe in the future there will be such support. I think what Quia Network consider now, is the ability to run other smart contract written in solidity and ability to get new projects. When you mention smart contract what comes to people’s mind is solidity
There is nothing technologically preventing Rust or any other language as a contracting language. Someone needs to write the appropriate compiler, but that will come I’m sure, with time.
As @muyoncrypto points out, I think the first priority needs to be Solidity, since that’s what projects use today.
