I love this project and would like to activitely contribute to QuaiNetwork and thus researching what it takes to run a full node. In their documentation (What Is A Full Node? - Quai Network) QuaiNetwork provides some technichal guidance into the equipment required to run a full node.
They provide minimum & recommemded technichal requirements to Run a Full Node namely: Minimum: CPU with 2+ cores / 4GB RAM / 20GB free storage space to sync / 8 MBit/sec download Internet service Recommended: Fast CPU with 4+ cores / 16GB+ RAM / Fast SSD with at least 100GB free space / 25+ MBit/sec download Internet service
What technical specs are you guys currently running?
We run full nodes on our MacBook pros all the time without any issue. So that is is 8 cores/ 16Gb ram/ with SSD. 100Gb of space should be plenty for some time.
I personally ran on my Windows PC with 8 cores, 32gb of ram, and allocated about ~150gb to the storage. Didn’t have any issues with my setup, but could see it requiring more storage the longer the network runs.
I ran a windows PC with 12 cores and 32gb of RAM. Allocated about the same amount of space as above. 16gb of RAM will cut it, but the network programs run much better with 32!
