POEM: Proof of Entropy Minima

Blockchains exist to create collective truth in a competitive environment. Participants are economically incentivized to be honest though a myriad of game theoretic design mechanisms. At the heart of these design mechanisms lies the progression of the chain itself, the consensus mechanism. Many blockchains have strayed away from requiring an unforgeable costliness to this collective truth and instead have fabricated security through social coordination. In this paper our team explores what entropic consensus may look like and how the laws of natural reality may be mirrored within a blockchain.
